1. Definitions
1.1. “Company” refers to Golden Star Car Rental LLC. 1.2. “Renter” refers to the individual or entity renting a vehicle from the Company. 1.3. “Vehicle” refers to the car or other vehicle rented from the Company by the Renter.
2. Rental Requirements
2.1. The Renter must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. 2.2. Renters under the age of 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge. 2.3. The Renter must present a valid credit card in their name at the time of rental.
3. Rental Period
3.1. The rental period is defined in the rental agreement. 3.2. Late returns may be subject to additional charges. 3.3. The Renter must return the Vehicle with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental period, or a refueling fee will apply.
4. Payment
4.1. All rental charges, including deposits, must be paid in full at the commencement of the rental period. 4.2. The Company accepts major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. 4.3. Additional charges, such as tolls, fines, and damage, will be charged to the Renter’s credit card on file.
5. Vehicle Use
5.1. The Vehicle may only be driven by the Renter and any additional authorized drivers listed in the rental agreement. 5.2. The Vehicle must be used in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations. 5.3. The Vehicle must not be used for any illegal purposes, to transport hazardous materials, or for off-road driving.
6. Insurance and Liability
6.1. The Renter is responsible for all damage to the Vehicle, regardless of fault, unless the Renter has purchased a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). 6.2. The Renter is responsible for any personal injury or property damage arising from the use of the Vehicle. 6.3. The Company provides basic liability insurance as required by law.
7. Breakdown and Accidents
7.1. In the event of a breakdown, the Renter must contact the Company immediately. 7.2. In the event of an accident, the Renter must file a police report and provide a copy to the Company. 7.3. The Renter must not abandon the Vehicle and must take all necessary steps to safeguard the Vehicle.
8. Cancellation and Modifications
8.1. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the rental period will receive a full refund. 8.2. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the rental period may be subject to a cancellation fee. 8.3. Any modifications to the rental agreement must be agreed upon by the Company.
9. Privacy
9.1. The Company collects and processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. 9.2. The Renter’s personal information will be used solely for the purposes of the rental agreement.
10. Governing Law
10.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. 10.2. Any disputes arising from the rental agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Ohio.
11. Entire Agreement
11.1. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Company and the Renter. 11.2. No amendments to this agreement shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by both parties.
